Kyoritsu Reagent Set for Water Analyzer Zinc (KCN Method)

This product allows to measure Zinc (Divalent) (Zn2+) concentration in the sample. When other metal ions coexist in the sample, please use this method for measurement. However, it requires 5% Potassium Cyanide upon pretreatment.

  • Press Zn-KCN
  • Press Enter to change over to the display of measurement procedure.
  • Fill the round cell with 25 mL of sample (up to the line).
  • Insert the round cell into the cell box with ▼ of Round Cell facing ▲ of cell box.
  • Press Blank.
  • Take out the round cell and add 0.5 mL of 5% KCN solution into the round cell.
  • Cap the round cell tightly and stir the round cell 5 - 6 times.
  • Wait for 1 min.
  • Add a level spoonful of Zn-RB reagent with an attached spoon into the round cell.
  • Cap the round cell tightly and stir the round cell 5 - 6 times.
  • Add R-1 reagent into the round cell the press Start.
  • Cap the round cell tightly and stir the round cell 5 - 6 times.
  • Before 5 minutes pass, insert the round cell into the cell box with ▼ of Round Cell facing ▲ of cell box.
  • After 5 minutes passed, the measurement will be displayed automatically.
