How to choose Videoscope

Here is some important things to know when choosing videoscope.

Digital or Analog

There are digital system and analog system, digital system has clearer picture and higher capability on image processing.

Rigid or Flexible

This is about whether the camera probe is soft or hard. I recommend to buy flexible (soft camera probe) for most of case, and could always use holding tube when necessary.

Articulation or non-articulation

Articulation is whether you can control the tip of camera from handy controller. Usually articulation function is necessary for good videoscope inspection. However, if you are working on very small pipe or very narrow space where you can not move the camera anyway then articulation is not necessary.

Diameter of camera tip

Most important spec. for pipe inspection. choose smaller diameter than pipe diameter that you are going to inspect.

Length

Also need to decide how long camera probe you need. Longer probe costs more, so choose wisely.

Side-View

When you need to see not only front side but also side view, you can choose side view camera probe or just use mirror adaptor on front view camera. So make sure you front view camera can be used with mirror adaptor.

Field-of-View & Resolution

This is the camera lens specification, Field-of-View (FOV) is how wide the camera can see and resolution is how much details it can see. Please download below PDF file to see the each camera specification.
